Mikko Rantanen scored a goal and an assist in his Dallas Stars debut, but a furious third period comeback fell short as the Edmonton Oilers won 5-4 on Saturday night at Rogers Place. Matt Dumba also scored his first goal in a Stars sweater, snapping a 69-game goal drought that went back to February 18, 2024, when he was playing with the Arizona Coyotes (now the Utah Hockey Club). Jamie Benn scored his 399th career NHL goal and Wyatt Johnston netted one on the power play to extend his point streak to nine games. Zach Hyman scored twice for the Oilers, and added an assist, while Connor McDavid posted a two-point night (1 goal, 1 assist). Join the DLLS Stars crew (Craig Ludwig, Sam Nestler, John Andersen and Owen Newkirk) as they break down tonight’s game from the DLLS studios in downtown Dallas.
