The Buffalo Sabres extended their current winning streak to 10 games as they beat the Dallas Stars 4-1 on Wednesday night at American Airlines Center. Mavrik Bourque put the Stars ahead a mere 15 seconds into the first period, but that would be the only shot in the entire game that eluded Sabres goaltender Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen. Buffalo would score four unanswered goals, two in the second and two more in the third to earn the victory. Josh Doan and Bowen Byram each found the net in the middle frame and Tage Thompson scored twice in the third. The Stars have now lost three straight games (0-1-2) and had their six game point streak (4-0-2) snapped.
