Sam Steel had a game-high three point night (3 assists), but the Dallas Stars felt short to the two-time defending Stanley Cup champion Florida Panthers 4-3 in a shootout tonight at Amerant Bank Arena. Mikko Rantanen had a goal and an assist, Wyatt Johnston scored his team-leading seventh goal of the year and Justin Hryckowian tallied his first career NHL goal, helping the Stars take the Panthers into overtime. Florida received goals from Brad Marchand, Sam Reinhart and Sam Bennett.
