In the first game of the entire 2025 NHL Preseason schedule, the Dallas Stars beat the St. Louis Blues 2-1 in a shootout on Saturday night at American Airlines Center. Each team scored in the second period, with Justin Carbonneau finding the net on the power play and then Mavrik Bourque tied the game on a rebound at the net front. The Stars dominated the scoring chances in the second and third periods, but could not find the go-ahead goal. After a goalless overtime, Sam Steel scored the lone goal in the shootout and Antoine Bibeau went 3-for-3 in goal for Dallas. We will break down the game, give our thoughts on various player performances, get a live report by Sam from the AAC and, of course, take your Super Chats!
