The Dallas Stars rallied from a 3-1 deficit to claim a dramatic 5-4 victory over the Minnesota Wild on Thursday night at American Airlines Center. With the win, the Stars reduced their magic number to clinch home ice advantage for the first round playoff series against the Wild to two points. In a high-tension, fight-filled affair, Wyatt Johnston scored his 44th goal of the year to give Dallas an early 1-0 lead. Minnesota answered with three-straight goals; a Quinn Hughes even strength tally and two power play goals by Kirill Kaprizov. Colin Blackwell cut the deficit to 3-2 and then Cameron Hughes scored his first career NHL goal to tie it at 3-3. However, Ryan Hartman scored Minnesota’s third power play goal of the night with 11 seconds left in the second period. Mikko Rantanen tied the game at 4-4 and then Jason Robertson got the game-winner, his 42nd goal of the year.
