Radek Faksa scored a shorthanded goal, Sam Steel tallied a 4-on-4 goal, Wyatt Johnston found the net at 5-on-5 and Roope Hintz added an empty net goal. Alex Ovechkin had the lone goal for Washington, spoiling Casey DeSmith’s shutout bid late in the third period with his NHL-best 915 career goal.
