There’s not really any hiding it. The Dallas Stars 2026-27 season almost entirely comes down to how healthy their roster can be.
I know, health is important every year for every team. But with a very injury-prone roster that has really only gotten worse on paper over the past two years, it may just mean everything for the success of this team.
If everyone plays every game for the Stars this season, they should be a good team again. They would most likely make the playoffs as one of the top three in the Central Division, and even with no added help, should have a good chance to win at least one round.
But, I don’t know if this current roster is much better than that. Are they deep enough to win a division or advance past the first or second round of the playoffs? Just not so sure. AND… That’s if every player played in every game, which just isn’t going to happen.
