DLLS Texas Rangers Emergency Podcast: Adolis Garcia, Jonah Heim non-tendered

The news that was almost certain broke Friday afternoon: Adolis Garcia and Jonah Heim were not tendered 2026 contracts by the Texas Rangers. Garcia and Heim were joined by another 2023 World Series hero, right-hander Josh Sborz, and right-hander Jacob Webb. The latter two come as much more of a surprise, as the Rangers are in need of affordable bullpen help. Both are candidates to be re-signed on a more team-friendly deal. Garcia and Heim have been two of the most unproductive and maddening hitters in the Rangers’ lineup the past two seasons following their breakout 2023 campaigns. Those now appear to be the outliers in their careers.
