The Texas Rangers have a new hitting coach. His name is Bret Boone, the former MLB All-Star from a baseball-rich family. He has never been a coach and has spent the past five years as a podcaster, but he has stayed close to the game and will bring some common sense to the Rangers’ hitting approach. Boone will also have a new center fielder, Evan Carter. The 2023 “Little Savior” is back in the big leagues after opening at Triple A Round Rock to figure out his swing and his back. He has checked all the boxes necessary. No matter what happens in the opener at Fenway Park, the Rangers have Nathan Eovaldi on the mound, and that’s never a bad thing.
