The story that won’t go away was hopefully put to bed Monday morning when Texas Rangers shortstop Corey Seager met with the media and discussed his relationship with Marcus Semien after an offseason filled with innuendo. Seager didn’t dive into details, but he said that he and Semien had mutual respect for each other and were professionals on the field. Semien has been traded, and new manager Skip Schumaker hopes to create a new clubhouse culture. More competitors than complainers, more inflators than deflators. Brandon Nimmo figures to play a role in that, and on the field he figures to be the Rangers’ leadoff hitter.
