The Texas Rangers’ offense is struggling, in part because their best hitter isn’t hitting all that much. The Rangers need Corey Seager to break out of his early funk.
The Texas Rangers have only one hitter who scares opposing teams, though right now the only thing scary about Corey Seager is his lack of production. The All-Star shortstop and two-time World Series MVP came up empty in a critical spot Tuesday in a series-opening loss to the Yankees, continuing his slow start to the 2026 season. Seager is batting just better than the Mendoza Line, and the Rangers need their best hitter to get going as the offense continues to flounder.
