Texas Rangers Nelson Cruz

Everyone knows what the No. 1 “what if” in Texas Rangers history is, right? It’s Game 6 of the 2011 World Series, when the Rangers were two strikes away from their first championship — twice! The key play was in the ninth inning, when Nelson Cruz couldn’t catch David Freese’s missile that turned into a game-tying two-run triple off of Neftail Feliz. Why didn’t he return for the 10th, after Josh Hamilton’s two-run homer put the Rangers back in front? And what about Darren Oliver and Scott Feldman in the 10th? Our list runs 10 “what ifs” deep, and No. 2 on the list is related to the 2011 season. Play along with us as we run them down.
