The Texas Rangers fought off fatigue and the sting of Saturday’s loss with a 5-1 victory Sunday over the Astros to win the three-game series at Daikin Park. Nathan Eovaldi allowed one run in 7 2/3 innings, and Marcus Semien and Adolis Garcia homered as the Rangers entered the All-Star break with some positive vibes. The question becomes, will the Rangers be buyers at the July 31 trade deadline. The sense is they won’t be sellers. The bullpen needs reinforcement, so even if the president of baseball operations Chris Young doesn’t go all-in, he will likely seek relievers.
