The Texas Rangers watched Leody Taveras make a critical error Thursday night in the ninth inning that helped the A’s rally for two runs and a 4-3 walk-off victory that clinched the three-game series. Taveras, though, wasn’t the only one who didn’t execute over the course of the game. Wyatt Langford lost a flyball in left field, which opened the door for two A’s runs to score, and Jacob deGrom and Luke Jackson didn’t execute key pitches. DeGrom, though, should have had a scoreless outing rather than being tagged for two runs, and the offense didn’t do enough to give the bullpen some margin for error late.
