Joc Pederson didn't play in the field last season for the Diamondbacks and played almost exclusively against left-handed pitchers (Joe Camporeale-USA TODAY Sports).

The Rangers struggled against right-handed pitching last season, and Pederson joins the lineup with a career .844 OPS.
