Joc Pederson was the Texas Rangers’ leadoff man Tuesday night and hit a leadoff homer. MacKenzie Gore was the starting pitcher and delivered a career-best eight innings.
The Texas Rangers beat the Arizona Diamondbacks on Tuesday night, 7-4. Just about everything went right for the Rangers over the first eight innings. They hit for power, they collected hits with runners in scoring position, and their starting pitcher, MacKenzie Gore, had one of the best starts of his career. While the lineup was a bit unorthodox, with Joc Pederson leading off, it was effective. Pederson hit a leadoff homer. The way the Rangers won is the blueprint for what they can do.
