Texas Rangers right-hander Jon Gray is enjoying a healthy offseason after undergoing surgery in September for a nerve condition in his foot. He has already thrown four bullpen sessions three weeks out from spring training. He has also heard the talk from fans and media about him becoming the Rangers’ closer, and he said he would do it (full interview with the DLLS Rangers Weekly Podcast here). Rangers brass, though, wants him for the rotation, and Gray wants to give the Rangers the innings they badly need in the rotation. Panicked? Mark McLemore joins the show to calm your nerves. He also had some insight on the three inductees into the Hall of Fame, especially former Seattle Mariners teammate Ichiro Suzuki.
