The Texas Rangers are back home after a three-game series against the Yankees, but the schedule doesn’t get any easier with the Cubs coming to town to face Kumar Rocker on Friday.
The Texas Rangers are 17-20 after a 2-4 road trip against the Tigers and Yankees, and now come home to face another solid team — the Cubs. Kumar Rocker will start the opener of the three-game series. The Rangers are still looking to click offensively, especially at home, and are dealing with inconsistencies in all facets of the game. On Thursday, starting pitcher MacKenzie Gore was good until the sixth inning, but the defense behind him failed to make just enough plays for the Yankees to take advantage.
