Many DFW Sports fans would say there has been nothing like the Luka Doncic trade that stunned the Metroplex, and they’re probably right. The Texas Rangers, though, have one trade that caught the nation’s eye, the Juan Gonzalez trade after the 1999 season. The Mark Teixeira trade was big, but he wasn’t a two-time MVP like Gonzalez was. The Rangers don’t seem about to make a trade like that this offseason with spring training only nine days away. What they need is internal improvements from players like Adolis Garcia and Marcus Semien and healthy seasons from Josh Jung and Jacob deGrom.
