The Texas Rangers don’t need to trade Marcus Semien this offseason, and they believe the veteran is capable of a rebound in 2026. But he isn’t getting any younger, and his $26 million salary would look better on another team’s payroll. So, should the Rangers trade him? It’s something the front office will likely consider this offseason as it tries to build a less expensive, younger roster. Only a handful of teams can afford the whole salary, but even if the Rangers have to pay some of the remaining money, it might be worth it.
