Someone cue Harry Doyle, because the Texas Rangers‘ offense just collected one hit in their 2-0 loss to the Blue Jays on Wednesday night. Worse than that, the one hit was by the Rangers’ first hitter of the game, Josh Smith, and then they proceeded to go 0 for 27 with three walks. Included in the O-fer was Corey Seager, who returned from the injured list and went 0 for 4. That might be rock bottom for a team that seems to be getting worse offensively. The Rangers certainly aren’t getting any better. At least the pitching was good in the series, in which the Rangers gave up only four runs and lost two of the three games. Tyler Mahle tossed six scoreless innings Wednesday, and the two Blue Jays runs came on a ninth-inning homer by pinch-hitter Bo Bichette with two outs against Jacob Webb.
