The 2025 season ended Sunday for the Texas Rangers, and the top sentiment about the 162-game campaign is frustration. The Rangers led the majors in ERA for the first time in club history and set an MLB record for fielding percentage — and missed the playoffs. Why? The offense was dreadful, thanks to lousy seasons by Joc Pederson and Adolis Garcia, and fixing it will be a top offseason priority for the front office. First, though, they need to decide what will happen with manager Bruce Bochy, whose three-year contract expires at the end of the season. A decision needs to come this week, and decisions on the coaching staff need to follow in short order.
