Chris Young and his band of merry Texas Rangers front-office mates are in Las Vegas for the GM meetings, and so is our John Rhadigan. The Rangers aren’t sitting idly by as they try to fix their offseason with free-agent or trade acquisitions. They have shifted their offensive philosophy to suit new manager Skip Schumaker and also the park effects at Globe Life Field. That includes higher on-base percentage and more putting the ball in play, two areas where the Rangers struggled in 2024 and 2025. That could be bad news for several players, but will almost certainly spell the end of the line for Adolis Garcia and Jonah Heim.
