Manager Bruce Bochy mentioned Sunday that it was past time to jump-start the Texas Rangers’ offseason, so John Rhadigan and I offered some tips during this podcast. The changes needed to happen at the top of the lineup, where Josh Smith was a good candidate to get on base ahead of Corey Seager. Wyatt Langford could move up, too. The good news is the Rangers were still above .500 and in first place in the American League West ahead of their three-game series against the A’s at Sacramento. The pitching has been carrying the load, but how long can it last?
