Some old Texas Rangers friends were instrumental in paving the San Diego Padres’ way to a Game 2 win against the Los Angeles Dodgers in the National League Division Series. Yu Darvish allowed one run in seven innings, and Jurickson Profar robbed Mookie Betts of a first-inning home run. Darvish was signed by the Rangers more than 12 years ago, and Profar’s time with the Rangers was marred by a shoulder injury. The Rangers are going into the offseason knowing that manager Bruce Bochy still wants to win and that he and his coaching staff have laid out their thoughts on how to get better in 2025.
