Cody Freeman sparked the sixth with a two-out single against Framber Valdez as the players who weren’t expected to contribute to a Rangers playoff drive continued to make things happen. His energy is infectious, established players said afterward, and the fresh energy from others like Freeman are helping the Rangers stay in the playoff hunt despite a series of injuries.
