The final score from Tuesday night in rainy Tampa Bay looked a little too familiar, at least the Texas Rangers‘ output did against the Rays. The Rangers scored once in a 5-1 loss in which a sloppy sixth inning led to Tyler Mahle giving up four runs. Curiously, Adolis Garcia came off the bench and looked good as he gave his swing changes a test drive. Alejandro Osuna started in right field and might be part of the outfield mix the rest of the season and in 2026. What about top prospect Sebastian Walcott? He’s off to a nice start at Double A Frisco as a 19-year-old. The Rangers will turn to Kumar Rocker to start Wednesday as he comes off the injured list and makes his first start since April 23.
