The Texas Rangers limped to an 81-81 season in 2025 that was marked by a lousy offense and remarkable pitching. The Rangers went 21-29 in one-run games and were below their expected wins total. Add it all up, as Rotowire did, and the Rangers were the most unlucky team in the majors this season. But, no, bad luck wasn’t the main reason the Rangers weren’t good. The offense was too bad early on while the pitching staff was dominating. A new top-10 ranking of Rangers prospects is out, and it could be a while before many are in the majors. The Blue Jays, meanwhile, are one win away from stunning the Dodgers in the World Series. Toronto won Game 5 on Wednesday to take a 3-2 lead in the best-of-7 series.
