DLLS Texas Rangers Podcast: New manager Skip Schumaker is staying busy while team bides its time

Skip Schumaker was hired as the Texas Rangers’ new manager about six weeks ago. The Rangers haven’t done much this offseason, but that doesn’t mean that Schumaker hasn’t been busy. He has been visiting with players who will return in 2026, putting together a coaching staff and helping orchestrate an offensive overhaul. Meeting with the players is his first step in figuring out his idea of a winning clubhouse culture, something that seems to have been awry in 2025. Things are about go get even busier with the non-tender deadline and the upcoming winter meetings. The Rangers are going to make moves at some point, and Schumaker will have even more players to get to know.
