Thursday marked the biggest swap meet during a baseball season, and the Texas Rangers waited until the start of our trade-deadline special episode to make their biggest moves. They grabbed reliever Danny Coulombe about an hour before the show started, and then made one of the biggest acquisitions of the day by acquiring right-handed starter Merrill Kelly. Just before the deadline passed, the Rangers grabbed reliever Phil Maton from the Cardinals. They did so ahead of a key series against the Mariners, who were busy before the deadline themselves. Eugenio Suarez is back at T Mobile Field, giving Rangers pitchers another obstacle to face.
