All that’s left for the Texas Rangers this season are three games at Cleveland. Their 81-game home schedule ended Thursday, and not the way they were hoping. The Rangers were blanked by the Twins, 4-0, and finished 1-5 on the final homestand. Tyler Mahle pitched well for the Rangers, allowing one run in five innings in his final start. He’s a free agent at the end of the season, and the Rangers should have interest in bringing him back. The offseason, though, put up another lackluster performance, something manager Bruce Bochy said before the game happened far too often this season. Bochy did not have much to say about his future after this season, opting to wait until after the weekend.
