This Texas Rangers storyline is getting old, but it happened again Thursday at Yankee Stadium: Nathan Eovaldi gave his team a chance to win, but the offense misfired. The lineup barely fired at all against Carlos Rodon, who tossed six scoreless innings. Eovaldi allowed only one run in six innings, and his ERA sits at 1.60 after 11 starts. The Rangers, though, are 5-6 in those starts. The main culprits are still Marcus Semien and Adolis Garcia, who was dropped to seventh in the order. Jake Burger, arguably the Rangers’ hottest hitter, was moved into the cleanup spot and went hitless. The Rangers were swept by the Yankees and now move on to Chicago to face the White Sox in a must-win series.
