The Texas Rangers have 12 games remaining in the 2026 season, the first nine at home. The season-ending homestand begins Tuesday against Boston in the first of three games at Globe Life Field. The Rangers enter the day a game out in the American League West, though the first-place Astros hold the tiebreaker. The Rangers are also 1 1/2 games out in the wild-card standings. The Rangers need wins, but the Red Sox won’t make that easy. They have been one of the best teams in the majors the past three months. The Rangers weren’t even sure Monday who would be starting the opener for them, though Jacob deGrom could be the choice.
